Jackie! You KILL!!!

Tonight was Jackie! Bill and Art are doing the benchmark workouts every Tuesday and Thursday. So far, we have done Nancy, Grace, Annie, Cindy, and now Jackie! Before Jackie, we established a 6 rep max with front squats! I did 100 pounds and mom did 45. Her leg has been bothering her. If she was healed, she would do way over 45!!

Anyway, Here's Jackie...
Jackie was by far the hardest so far! Mom and I haven't rowed in probably 2-3 weeks because Bill has us running laps since the weather is so nice. With that being said, we have gotten so much better at rowing! We rowed 1000meters under 4 1/2 minutes... 4 minutes and 27 seconds to be exact lol. In the past, it would have taken me over 5 minutes. So motivating!

The 50 thrusters was SO Hard!!! They were never ending, that took us the longest.

Then 30 pull-ups! Broke these into sets of 5... Still so painful. Arms felt like they were going to fall off!

I was so out of breath and sweating like crazy! Very intense workout. Haven't had a tough workout like that in weeks!!

Results:
Mom: 13 minutes and 20 seconds
Me: 15 minutes even

Here's some pics of the front squats

Grace.

Well, this was hard! My arms are done!

Grace is 30 clean and jerks (135/95)

My max clean and jerk is 100 so there was no way I was going to be able to do 30 clean and jerks @ 95 pounds in the workout.
Mom's max clean is 75, so same thing for her.

I used 75 in the workout and mom used 50.

It took me 8:05 and mom 7:10

By the end of Grace, I was covered in chalk and dead!

Wondering where the name Grace came from, as well as, all Crossfit workouts named after women, I stumbled upon this...

Haha this is so funny! But this is the truth, pretty cool.

Anyway, me after Grace...

AMRAP 12 Minutes!

My arms and legs felt the burn tonight! For the strength workout tonight, we did back squats at different percentages of our max weight.

I used 125 as my max
Mom used 95 as her Max
Chavonne used 120 as her max

Workout...
2 sets of 6 @ 80% max
2 sets of 4 @ 85% max
1 set of 2 @ 90% max

Here's some pics of us during back squats. This was a hard workout and my legs, back, and arms felt the burn quickly!

Then, the WOD was the perfect topper to this insane day. It put our arms through hell. In fact, I know I am going to be so incredibly sore tomorrow and the next day. push-ups and kettle bells do nothing but kill your arms (in a good way that is!)

AMRAP in 12 minutes
15 kettle bell swings with 35lbs
15 push-ups

Us during the workout...

Us at the end... Dead lol

The 80 degree weather had our backs soaked!!!!

Nice job ladies!!!

Time for bed!!!

Cindy=no joke!

Tonight... We did Cindy! I must say, it is hard to even blog right now because Cindy killed my arms!!!

Cindy is a workout that consists of as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of the following...
)
5 pull-ups
10 push-ups
15 air squats

All sounds simple.. But after 20 minutes of non stop moving... It is painstaking!

Our results are pretty awesome I must say..

I completed 11 rounds plus 3 pull-ups
Mom completed 10 rounds plus 5 pull-ups

Just for the record... That's

Me
58 pull-ups
145 push-ups
165 air squats

Mom
55 pull-ups
140 push-ups
150 air squats

Just looking at those numbers makes my jaw drop. There was a time when 10 push-ups was impossible for me and tonight I did 145. crazy and mind blow over that.

Accidentally, we did 15 push-ups each round except for the last 2 when we noticed we were doing too many. Owell, better workout for us. And more arm pain, lovely...

Anyway, This workout made us drip sweat!!! It was tough! Mom felt faint and I felt sick. Our faces were as red as apples after this one! We were dead.

Cindy packs an insane workout

I am exhausted!

Oh yeah, prior to Cindy, we did about 20 or more overhead presses. I used 85 then 75. Mom used 65.

Here we are.

New gym! Insane workout!

Today was our first workout in the new gym!!!! Crossfit856 moved next door to a bigger building and it is awesome!!! We even have our own PR board and brand new chalkboards! So stoked!

Today's workout was terribly difficult and body breaking! But well worth the burn!

Halting clean deadlifts were easy for me but mom is still getting the move down. I was able to lift 95 pounds with ease. Mom did 55 which is great for not having the form perfected. She keeps using her arms on the cleans more than her hips. She will get it eventually, I have faith!

Here's me doing the halting clean DL

Anyway, today's workout was awful! Burpee pull-ups and 100 meter sprints!

6 rounds of 12 burpee pull-ups is not fun nor easy! Mom was gonna throw in the towel until she swore she wasn't gonna quit in front of me! Hey, whatever motivates us! Burpee pull-ups are exactly what they sound like.... A burpee followed by a pull-up. So just for the record, that's 72 burpees and 72 pull-ups. Let's not forget the 100 meter sprint holding a 10 pound medicine ball. Thank God we could jump ourselves up for the pull-ups because if that didn't occur, I wouldn't of survived this one.

Results of this crazy workout!

Took me 18 minutes and 34 seconds
Mom 19 minutes and 30 seconds

Not too shabby! Good calorie and muscle builder at least. I felt strong after this workout today!

Time for bed.

80 Degrees! Sweat it out!

Tonight was HOT! First workout in a while where I was dripping sweat! Not only did the 80 degree weather make it hot, the workout was so tough!!

After running 2 laps around the building and then stretching everything out.. We did this tonight...

For the 18 deadlifts we used 65 of our max. Mine is 205 and Mom's is 170. So I used 130 and mom used 110.

The hardest part of that first workout was the 30 second plank. The deadlifts already work your back so hard and planking includes back strength, so staying up kills your back!! By round 4, I had to tell my mind to do whatever it had to do to make my body stay up!! That and praying to God to keep my body up!! Wasn't easy!

Anyway, tonight was such a great body workout...

After the 75 wall balls and 75 push-ups, my arms almost gave out... They still hurt from Monday!!

Then...

Bill made us row 1000 meters each! Back and forth 250 meters until we finished 2000. We did good!

Results of the workout:

Then for the rowing, took us another 9 minutes.

Not bad!!! Great burn tonight!!!

Here's some pictures :)

I am so beat!
