Filthy Fifty

Insanity! That's what this workout was! Still mind blown that We completed 500 reps of the following stuff....

So glad I was able to do this workout! I thought for sure it would of took me an hour! And mom was going to do 25 of each but she stuck it out and finished the entire workout the full way! So proud! I truly am! Never in a million years would I think We would be able to do something this! 

Crazy!!!

I'm gonna be sore, that's for sure!

Push-up Craziness!

Tonight we found our 1 rep max for back squats and then did an intense push-up workout! 

My new PR is 145! I went from 125 to 145 in just 3 weeks! Incredible progress! Although I really wanted to get 150, I'm satisfied with 145 :) 

Mom's knee held her back a little tonight so she skipped back squats and decided to do some pull-ups! She did awesome and used the skinny blue band! She did a lot of pull-ups and then did some without the band! So amazing! I remember when we first started and she was using the huge purple band lol and now she is using the skinniest band! So awesome!

Tonight's workout was pretty cool... 
Got the heart rate up very high! And arms throbbing :)

I finished in 9 minutes and 36 seconds
Mom finished in 9 minutes 55 seconds

I did regular push-ups the entire time except for the set of 15, I had to snake up and finish the push-ups that way.

Soaked!

Literally drenched from head to toe in sweat from tonight's workout! It was so hot and the workout was enough to get you soaked! 

Tonight we established a new 1RM for the push press. I got 120 and mom got 85!!!! Amazing! We both tried to go up by 5, but no matter how many attempts, it just wasn't happening. It's okay, next time! For some reason I only have pictures of my, I think I accidentally deleted the video of my momma. Here's me doing the push press at 115 and 120...


So proud of us!

Anyway, tonight's workout was as many rounds as possible in 14 minutes:
3 wall climbs
9 sumo deadlifts
15 sit-ups 

I used 65 lbs and mom used 45 for the sumo deadlifts.

Instead of 3 wallclimbs, we did 9 deficit push-ups.

What a workout!!!!


Wow! Holy workout!
For me, that's 63 deficit push ups, 63 sumo deadlifts and 93 sit-ups!
For mom, that's 66 deficit push-ups, 63 sumo deadlifts, and 105 sit-ups!

Painful. Powerful. Progress.

Those three words describe how we feel this Friday. We are of course in pain... In pain before the workout even started tonight! This week has been so hard! Although painful, we feel so powerful... Powerful because we made it through, and although we are so sore, we are so strong! Progress because every night leaving Crossfit856, is another night of progress! The feeling of accomplishment. The euphoria and "high on life" feeling that nothing can compare too.

After 60 push-ups, 120 air squats, and 165 double unders, not to mention, 30 overhead squats with 75 pounds, and then 45 upside down sit-ups... It's no wonder I have been laying dead on my couch since I got home. I need a massage. TGIF and thank God for Memorial Day weekend! I need a break!

Double Fail!!!!

Tonight was a combination of super fun and super hard! And of course, a double fail haha! I almost blacked out during the workout! However, we did find new PR's tonight for cleans... After that we did "Fran!" Fran=kill me and Fran=why I almost blacked out.

During the Cleans, we slowly built up to our new 1 rep max. Mine is now 105 and Mom's is 75!!! So awesome!!! Very satisfied with our results of this!

The best part of tonight was we both tried to go up 5lbs to see if our 1 rep maxes were 110 and 80, and we both failed at the exact same time! It was so funny. Some pictures of the double fail... lol the video is the best!

During Fran, I almost puked. It was so hard for me for some reason! My hands were killing me even with tape and it was so hot! I was dripping sweat and out of breath so bad. I used 55 for the thrusters and the red band for pull-ups. Mom used 35 for thrusters and green band. I think we ok both used suitable weights based on our max weights. Mom smoked me in this workout and I got a little discouraged but I trucked through it!

Me: 11:30

I am beat!!! Time for BED!

Get It!

Tonight...

I used 95 pounds for the push press and mom used 65. 


During the workout, I tried so hard to get all 5 rope climbs, but could only get 3 and I couldn't make it to the top each time. I did the alternative climb with mom and Julz for the other two. They still haven't mastered the foot technique but it's okay, we haven't really practiced rope climbs that often. 

For 50 wall balls, we used 10 pound medicine balls.

During the 100 sit-ups, I did them unbroken and man were my abs on fire at the end!

Ripped Hands Again! >:0

Tonight's WOD ripped my hand open again, this time my other hand! Those stinking knees to elbows and toes to bar! 

Anyway, other than ripped skin, it was a great arm workout! 

Plus, Danyele joined tonight and had her first beginner's class, which I'm so excited for her! She did beyond awesome tonight! She's gonna be in so much pain tho! She goes again Wednesday, can't wait to hear all about how she can't move or sit on the toilet haha.

Not bad, only 13:32 for me and 13:39 for mom. Instead of muscle ups, we had to do 6 chest to bar and 6 ring dips... on top of knees to elbows and hand stand push-ups... Our arms were killing us! 

The 4th round of knees to elbows ripped my hand, my left ring finger this time, so it was a little difficult to finish the 5th round, but I managed.

I used 100 as my top set and mom used 80.

Rip it GOOD!

How many toes to bar does it take to rip my hand??? 98 it is! The life of a CrossFitter :) 

Tonight was CRAZY! 

First... 

We did 7 sets of 2 push presses at 100 pounds for me and 70 pounds for mom. I dropped to 95 half way and mom dropped to 65 half way! They get heavy after a while!

Then for the workout, we had to climb the ladder with toes to bar and overhead lunges. 

This means..
2 toes to bar
4 overhead lunges with 25 lbs
6 toes to bar
8 overhead lunges w/ 25 lbs
10 toes to bar 

.... And so on and so forth

I got up to 26 toes to bar and didn't get to the lunges
Mom got to 24 lunges and 10 toes to bar. 

Just for the record. 
That's 98 toes to bar 
And 84 lunges for me 
And
For mom that's 82 toes to bar
And 84 lunges 

I raced through The last set if toes to bar because Bill was screaming "LETS GO DONT STOP" and I didn't stop... Definetely why my hand ripped open.. 

It's all good though, it's for the love of the sport!!! No pain no gain. Plus, it builds character ;)

Jackie! You KILL!!!

Tonight was Jackie! Bill and Art are doing the benchmark workouts every Tuesday and Thursday. So far, we have done Nancy, Grace, Annie, Cindy, and now Jackie! Before Jackie, we established a 6 rep max with front squats! I did 100 pounds and mom did 45. Her leg has been bothering her. If she was healed, she would do way over 45!! 

Anyway, Here's Jackie...
Jackie was by far the hardest so far! Mom and I haven't rowed in probably 2-3 weeks because Bill has us running laps since the weather is so nice. With that being said, we have gotten so much better at rowing! We rowed 1000meters under 4 1/2 minutes... 4 minutes and 27 seconds to be exact lol. In the past, it would have taken me over 5 minutes. So motivating! 

The 50 thrusters was SO Hard!!! They were never ending, that took us the longest. 

Then 30 pull-ups! Broke these into sets of 5... Still so painful. Arms felt like they were going to fall off! 

I was so out of breath and sweating like crazy! Very intense workout. Haven't had a tough workout like that in weeks!! 

Results:
Mom: 13 minutes and 20 seconds
Me: 15 minutes even
